TRENDING: ES MEDIALDEA TO ES GINA LOPEZ, “WALA KANG ALAM SA PAGGOGOBYERNO!”

May mining sila, may subsidiary sila. Kita mo, kunwaring bibira dito, sisirain pala.

VIRAL: MATAPOS UM-EXIT NINA LAVIÑA, YASAY, AT SUENO…

EXPOSED: THE LOPEZES ARE MAKING SURE THE ODDS ARE STACKED IN THEIR FAVOR

It seems like the Lopezes are ready for whatever outcome. Sigurista talaga. We’re wondering if the administration knows about this.

The Lopezes are savvy businessmen. They know how to take care of their assets. One of the ways they protect their businesses is to hinge their bets on winning politicians. They campaigned for PNoy. They campaigned for Grace Poe and Mar Roxas when both were frontrunners in the last elections. Now that Digong has won, they fielded one of their own for a government position in the person of Gina Lopez.

But what is this? One of the Lopezes, Ernie Lopez of ABS-CBN Publishing and a major player in the family business is seen bonding with one of Duterte’s fiercest critic, Senator Antonio Trillanes.

It seems like the Lopezes are ready for whatever outcome. Sigurista talaga. We’re wondering if the administration knows about this.

EXPOSED: CONFLICT OF INTEREST AND THE HEIGHT OF ARROGANCE

As the ultimate proof of graft against Gina Lopez, we present to you this Memo exempting quarry of aggregates for cement and other construction materials.

As the ultimate proof of graft against Gina Lopez, we present to you this Memorandum exempting quarry of aggregates for cement and other construction materials from the harsh screening and illogical approval process for mining permits that she herself has established as soon as she sat as DENR Secretary.

If you are unfamiliar with the Lopezes other business interests, there is First Balfour, a Lopez-owned company that is in the mining business. It operates on a watershed on Batangas. It is also waiting for its MPSA.

Now Gina Lopez has effectively approved and practically signed First Balfour’s permit to operate within a watershed with this memorandum.

Somebody call the Ombudsman.

REPOST: Much ado about Henry: Gina Lopez pulls all stops to help French friend

Philippine Star columnist Alex Magno on (March 14) detailed the efforts Lopez exerted to help EcoGlobal Inc. clinch a power contract in Zamboanga City.

Environment Secretary Gina Lopez’s doggedness in going after mining firms can only be matched perhaps by her resolve to helping a French company win a $100-million contract despite the shady background of one of its top officials.

Philippine Star columnist Alex Magno on Tuesday (March 14) detailed the efforts Lopez exerted to help EcoGlobal Inc. (EI) clinch a power contract in Zamboanga City.

Magno said Lopez “constantly badgered” DOE renewable energy director Mario Marasigan to grant EI the power supply contract without informing Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi.

Lopez was determined to help EI even if its president, Jean-Philippe Henry, faces several criminal charges.

Among the cases filed against Henry was a falsification complaint by businesswoman Mercedes Zobel, who claimed her signature was forged in EI’s documents to make it appear it is 60 percent Filipino-owned.

Despite helping establish EcoGlobal Foundation Inc (EFI) to build a bamboo waste water treatment facility for the Urdaneta City University, Henry was ousted by the Filipino trustees after discovering he was withdrawing huge amounts the grant for his own use.

The Filipino trustees of EFI have filed a qualified theft charge against Henry before the National Bureau of Investigation.

According to Magno, Henry’s ouster did not sit well with Lopez, who wrote EFI to express her displeasure over the decision.

A day before the service contract was awarded to EI, Lopez and five other DENR officials left for an all-expense paid trip to France.

The bill for the trip was footed by EI, with Henry’s assurance.

REPOST: Si Gina ang may sala! Koko says Lopez might be reason for mining firms’ support for destab plot

“Maybe (it could be related to Lopez). Pres. Duterte, having appointed her, so (it’s a) one shot,” Pimentel said when asked on the tension.

Originally posted in Politiko.

Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III does not discount the possibility of the issue on Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Sec. Gina Lopez being triggering mining companies to allegedly fund a plan to destabilize the Duterte administration.

“Maybe (it could be related to Lopez). Pres. Duterte, having appointed her, so (it’s a) one shot,” Pimentel said when asked on the tension between some mining firms and Lopez.

Lopez’ appointment to the said department proved to be highly controversial as various sectors, including some members of the mining industry, have filed an opposition to her confirmation.

Her confirmation has been deemed “bypassed” by the Commission on Appointments (CA) as the bicameral appointments body failed to come up with a position whether to approve or reject her designation before the two Houses of Congress goes on a Holy Week recess beginning this week.

Sen. Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao, chair of the CA environment committee, said he expects Pres. Duterte to re-appoint Lopez considering the pronouncements of the Chief Executive who said that he’s willing to let go of P70 billion in government earnings from the mining sector so long as Lopez will remain as his DENR secretary.

Pacquiao admitted that Lopez has 50-50 chance of securing the nod of the CA members.

TRENDING: TOP 5 GINA LOPEZ BLUNDERS BEFORE THE CA

Gina Lopez is also known as Ms. Alternate Facts. She doesn’t follow the law, because she has her own appreciation to it, manoeuvring it to her own interest.

  1. “They’re not all proclaimed watersheds, but a watershed is a watershed is a watershed.”As DENR Secretary with the power to execute orders that can affect an entire industry and the loss of jobs for countless Filipinos, it is incumbent upon the Secretary to be clear about what the law says. Something Gina Lopez clearly is not an expert at, nor does she care.
  2. “I’m really not a technical person at all.”

When asked to define what an MPSA is, Gina Lopez answered with the above quote, adding that “she’d fail if the CA questions her on technicals. There you go.
  3. “Balfour has not commenced.”Opposer and geologist Caloy Arcilla syas before the CA that First Balfour, a Lopez-owned company, is operating near a watershed. Gina Lopez denied this. Arcilla points out to the committee that it says otherwise on First Balfour’s website.

Shortly after Arcilla’s testimony, the portion about the quarrying near a wathershed was taken down from First Balfour’s website.
  4. “CARAGA is the poorest region in the country.”

Gina Lopez was making this argument to close down mines, citing that despitd the presencd of mining the region is still the poorest in Mindanao.

Only CARAGA is not the poorest in the region. It’s not even in the top 20 poorest provinces in the country according to the Philippine Statistics Authority, as pointed out by Senator Migz Zubiri during the CA hearing.
  5. “I’ll be flying to the US.”

Lopez asked the CA to move the next hearing to May 8 as she will be flying to the United States this March for a spiritual retreat. In short, a vacation. “You should prioritize the CA,” Senator Franklin Drilon told her.

She will still fly out, prompting Senator Manny Pacquiao to tell media that Gina Lopez’s appointment will likely be bypassed.

Ikaw na ate.

VIRAL: I LIED!!! : 5 TOP GINA LOPEZ LIES

You would think that that would be a crucial requirement for the position. And since she is not knowledgable, she does what she does best: she lies.

In her recent appearance before the Committee on Appointments, Gina Lopez admits that she is not knowledgable on the technical aspects of mining. You would think that that would be a crucial requirement for the position. And since she is not knowledgable, she does what she does best: she lies.

Here are some of them:

  1. She claims that there were 17,000 supporters who trooped to the Senate in support of her hearing before the CA. The actual number was just 3000.
  2. She held a press conference on alleged violations of mining companies on an audit conducted by the MGB. It turned out she did not like the audit reports, so she cooked up some imaginary violations just so she can close these firms down.
  3. 3. She claims that underground mining causes earthquakes. Scientists debunked this claim. Where she got that idea, we haven’t a clue.
  4. In a symposium, Gina Lopez claimed Manny Pangilinan said that places where mining took place were ugly to begin with. MVP counters that he never said such a thing. This prompted MVP to call Lopez a liar to her face.
  5. Probably sensing that she will not be confirmed by the CA, she claimed CA members were being bribed P50 M each by mining stakeholders. She later retracted when asked by media for proof.

TRENDING: 5 WAYS GINA LOPEZ SABOTAGED THE ECONOMY

Her reckless actions has made our economy very unstable. No wonder that her own family, doesn’t let her handle CRITICAL position in their business empire.

  1. No thanks to her irrational hatred of mining that has seen her canceling MPSA’s issued by the government, she has tarnished the country’s reputation in doing business and honoring contracts and agreements.
  2. An enormous amount of investment by multinational companies are at risk because of these cancelled contracts. Remember PIATCO? Well this is 100 times that scandal. She exposes the country on possible international arbitrations that will cost the government billions of pesos in legal fees.
  3. On the day she announced that she will head the DENR, mining stocks fell by 4 percent despite a healthy trading day for the Philippine Stock Exchange. Now, Lopez’s irresponsible announcements causes the whole stock market to plunge.
  4. With the stock market crashing, insider trading runs rampant. It is now being looked at and investigated.
  5. The saddest outcome of all these? 1.2 M workers will lose their jobs.
